Funding Objectives

The Betty Brown Scholarship Fund’s primary focus is women’s education in agriculture and removing barriers for girls and women in this pursuit and career advancement in this field. However, when funds are available, the Board will also consider applications for assistance for education related to medicine and dentistry. The intent to use relevant skills in rural communities is desirable.

  • The 2025 round is now closed.
  • The 2026 round of applications open February 1st 2026 and close March 31st 2026

Extraordinary Inclusions

Applications from male applicants will be considered if there are no suitable female applicants in first rounds.
