How much can I apply for in my application?
Currently the maximum amount of each scholarship is $10,000.
Does the Scholarship include GST?
The Betty Brown Scholarship Fund makes each scholarship as a gift and does not receive any material benefit in return for the payment. In making a gift there is no provision of consideration and consequently the donation does not constitute consideration for a taxable supply and GST should not be applicable.
What costs can I include to cover in my application?
The Scholarship can be used for tuition, course costs, living expenses, etc.
When do I find out if I am successful?
Scholarship applicants will be notified eight weeks after the close of the scholarship round whether they have been successful or not.
If the scholarship cannot be awarded to a female applicant, the scholarship will be opened to male applicants.
